Assembly and Rental of Scaffolding
The scaffolding is a reticular metal structure usually equipped with wood platforms (flooring). The scaffoldings are usually made for the construction or restructuring of buildings. In this case, they are considered collective protective devices against falling from heights. A fixed metal scaffolding must meet the manufacturer’s assembly instructions, included in the ministry licensing notebook of using them. Depending on the site requirements, one must use the assembly sketches provided for in the notebook, if they have not been provided due to the existence of special cases, an authorized technician must draft a specific project.
Any plan of the scaffolding must be equipped with complete wood platform and with an ordinary bulwark endowed with safety platform placed below each work plan. The safe assembly and dismantling of the scaffolding must be performed by using a proper device of personal protection against falling from heights, and the persons to make such works shall have compulsorily participated to professional training courses – practical and theoretical – which authorizes them for such activities.
The assembly and dismantling steps must be performed with the management and control of a person in charge who shall survey the application of the correct procedures for the works execution according to the provisions of the Assembly, Use and Dismantling Plan of scaffolding (Pi.M.U.S.) made available by employer. Law Decree 81/2008, at article 134, decides the compulsory drafting of the Assembly, Use and Dismantling Plan of Scaffolding (Pi.M.U.S.) each and every time the scaffoldings are used.
